Students will learn the fundamentals of childcare (feeding, diapering), child safety (choking emergencies, home hazards) along with Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED!
This a great class to build confidence as pre-treen and teens enter the exciting world of babysitting, or if they are starting to stay home alone for the first time.
The class is taught using an assortment of relevant videos, hands-on skill learning sessions and games. Enrolled students receive a 30-page digital babysitting course book prior to the start of class, a babysitting class completion certificate, an American Heart Association "Friends and Family" participation certificate an AHA 80-page Friends and Family student manual.
Ages
Children 10 to 15 years old can register for the Babysitter Course.
